The database will include songs by and about American Indians, miners, immigrants, slaves, children, pioneers, and cowboys. Included in the database are the songs of Civil Rights, political campaigns, Prohibition, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, anti-war protests and more. This release includes 728 albums -- over 12103 tracks.

Kentucky Room staff members have been abstracting obituary information from the Owensboro Messenger and the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer since 1977. This online index covers two time periods 1890-1919 and 1980 to the present. The years 1920-1979 are available in book form in the Kentucky Room of the Daviess County Public Library.
