Features and title selection may vary by service provider. An eAudiobook is similar to a book on tape or CD—except that with an eAudiobook a computer, MP3 player, or other electronic device is required to play back the
downloadable audio recording. An eBook, or electronic book, is an electronic copy of a book which can be read on the screen of your computer or hand held device. eBooks are available in many file formats. In order to view an eBook you must have the proper software for that file type. eAudiobooks from NetLibrary and Recorded Books can be downloaded or played on any desktop, or laptop supporting Windows Media Player (version 9 or above).
Kentucky Libraries Unbound requires that computers or portable devices require have the free software available on the Kentucky Libraries Unbound website.

You may search and listen, read, and view a free preview of most digital materials. But, to download to your PC or supported portable device, you will need a Daviess County Public Library card in good standing. If you are using version 6:
1. Open Adobe Reader and go to File > My Bookshelf.
2. Locate the cover image of the eBook you wish to delete.
3. Click on the clock in the upper-right corner of the cover image. A pop-up box will display the eBook expiration date.
4. Click the 'Delete' button in the pop-up box.
If you are using version 7:
1. Open Adobe Reader and go to File > Digital Editions > My Digital Editions.
2. Locate the cover image of the eBook you wish to delete.
3. Click on the clock in the upper-right corner of the cover image. A pop-up box will display the eBook expiration date.
4. Click the 'Delete' button in the pop-up box You may have 10 titles checked out at any given time. Titles are checked out for 21 days, with no option to return before the license expires. Titles can be renewed once for an extra 21 days. Ten (10). You may put up to twelve (12) titles in you’re eCart at the same time. Placing a title in your eCart is like placing it on temporary reserve; as long as the title is in your eCart, it will remain available for you to check-out for 30 minutes after you have placed it there. Only Adobe® eBooks may be returned early.
If you are using Adobe Reader 6:
1. Open Adobe Reader® and go to File > My Bookshelf.
2. Locate the cover image of the eBook you wish to return. Right-click on the image and choose the 'Return to Lender' option. The ‘Document Expiration’ dialog box is displayed.
3. In the 'Document Expiration' dialog box, click option 'Return to Lender'.
*Note that clicking option 'OK' will simply close the dialog box without returning the book. The eBook will be returned from your account, and checked back into the library collection.
If you are using Adobe Reader 7:
1. Open Adobe Reader® and go to File > Digital Editions > My Digital Editions.
2. Locate the cover image of the eBook you wish to return. Right-click on the image and choose the 'Return to Lender' option. The 'Document Expiration' dialog box is displayed.
3. In the 'Document Expiration' dialog box, click option 'Return to Lender'.
