Get a Library Card

    How do I get a card?
    You are eligible for a FREE library card if you:

    • are a resident of Daviess County (4-year expiration, renewable online.
      • Residents aged 3-17 may apply with a parent/guardian signature.
      • Residents aged 13-17 may apply for a limited Teen Pass card without a parent/guardian signature.  Apply for a Teen Pass instead.
    • are employed in Daviess County (1-year expiration)
    • own property in Daviess County (4-year expiration)
    • are a full-time student in Daviess County
    • are over the age of 50 and live in Kentucky (1-year expiration; may be updated & renewed online)

    If you are a Daviess County resident 18 years or older or over 50 and live in Kentucky, you may apply online.  After applying, you must email a scanned image of your valid government-issued ID to [email protected].  The address on the ID must match the address on your application.
    You will be assigned a temporary barcode for use with our online resources while processing your application.  You will receive your card in the mail within 14 days.

    Library cards are non-transferable. Family and corporate cards are not available.

    What do I bring to get a card?
    Picture identification such as a driver’s license, military ID, passport, or Matricula Consular card.  ID must be current.

    I don’t qualify for a FREE card.

    If you do not meet the requirements for a free library card you can pay a $45 per year fee for a library card.  Please visit the library to apply for a Non-Resident Card.
