Building Plan Questions & Answers
The new building has three floors. The third floor is administrative offices. The construction cost of the new building is currently estimated to be approximately $6.9 million. The library has always reserved parking for customers. There are twice as many parking spaces as at the old building. We are working with the school system, local law enforcement offices and towing companies to ensure parking for our customers. Due to safety concerns, all bikes must be parked in the bike rack located near the Reading Garden.
Bike riding has become so popular we will be ordering another rack for your convenience. Yes. The Library hours are
Monday - Thursday 9am-9pm
Friday 9am-8pm
Saturday 9am-6pm
Sunday 1pm-5pm Yes, there will be one larger elevator in the new building. Yes. All plans for the new building were approved by the U.S. Department of Justice. Yes, and water fountains. There are 116 parking spaces in the new building. - Additional shelving for the library collections

- Wireless “hot” zones (in progress)

- Improved handicapped access No tax increases, above the 4% allowed by the Kentucky State Statute, are planned for the future.
