HISTORY

1913 - Established as a Carnegie Free Public Library on the corner of Frederica and Ninth Streets.
1968 - Moved to current location on Griffith Avenue as Owensboro/Daviess County Public Library.
1993 - Online card catalog began.
1995 - Daviess County Public Library Taxing District was formed and the library was renamed Daviess County Public Library.
1997 - Internet access for the public became available.
